This Cookies Policy describes the cookies and similar browser storage currently used by the THe1 website. Read it together with the Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with requests to the website that set them. Local storage and session storage also keep values in your browser, but work differently from cookies. This website uses these mechanisms for the purposes described below.
2. Storage currently used
Administrator session cookie — __Host-the1_session This first-party cookie is set after a successful administrator sign-in. It maintains authenticated access to the private office for up to eight hours and is removed on sign-out. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. It is not an advertising or analytics cookie and is not required simply to read the public website.
Cookie preferences — the1-cookie-preferences This first-party local storage entry records your choices and the time they were saved. The website treats a saved choice as valid for 180 days, after which it asks again. Local storage does not expire by itself; the stored value may remain until it is replaced or you clear browser data. You can revise your choices at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
Contact invitation — the1-contact-seen This first-party session storage entry remembers that the contact invitation has already been shown, so it is not repeatedly displayed during the same browser tab session. It is normally cleared when that tab session ends; browser session restoration may preserve it.
These storage items support authentication, remembering privacy choices and the site's contact invitation. They are not used to track you across unrelated websites.
3. Optional analytics, functional and advertising tools
No optional analytics, advertising or third-party tracking tools are currently active on this website. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and advertising pixels are not installed.
The preference panel allows you to record choices for optional functional, analytics and marketing categories. Selecting these categories currently does not activate a tracking service. If optional tools are introduced, this policy and the relevant consent controls must be updated before those tools are used.
4. Managing your choices
The privacy banner offers Accept all, Reject non-essential and Customise choices. You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer to review or change those choices. Rejecting optional categories does not prevent you from browsing the site or sending an enquiry.
The authentication and preference mechanisms described above are separate from optional marketing consent in the website's forms. Accepting a cookie category does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
5. Browser controls
You can remove cookies, local storage and session storage using your browser's site-data controls. Removing the administrator cookie signs you out. Removing saved preferences makes the privacy banner appear again. Removing contact-invitation storage may allow that invitation to appear again.
Blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in or the ability to remember your choices.
6. Third-party websites
Links to external websites may take you to services that use their own cookies and privacy policies. Their practices should be reviewed on those websites.
7. Updates and contact
This policy will be revised when the website's storage practices change. Its latest revision date appears above.
